DRIVE ON SUPER-JEEP TO ASKJA-From Akureyri

 

We pick you up at your hotel or guesthouse at 08:00 am
A day of spectacular scenery awaits us. We set out from Akureyri to Goðafoss waterfall. ​

We will pass Europe´s largest bird sanctuary at Lake Mývatn. ​

​

We will see the mythical lava park Dimmuborgir and visit Hverafell mud baths. ​

​​

On ring rout to Askja (f-88), drive Grafarlönd and head northwest to the magnificent mountain Herðubreið and from there to Askja. ​Askja​ is a caldera in Dyngjufjöll mountain and we visit the new lava Holuhraun.

In Askja we will see Lake Öskjuvatn and the crater Viti before driving towards our destination of  Akureyri.  ​
