Goðafoss is in located in river Skjálfandafljót in Northeast Iceland

Wir fahren nach Varmahild und von da aus ins Hochland nach Laugarfell, einer natürlichen heissen Quelle. Von der schwarzen sandwüsste Spengisandur aus fahren wir zm Vatnajökull, dem grössten Gletscher Europas, überqeren Gaestvanaleid die gefährlichste Hochlandstrasse Islands. Die nächste destination ist Askja im Dyngufjöll wo wir in Drekagil übernachten. Wir besuchen den See Askjas und ihren Krater Viti und eine heisse Quelle. Von dor aus fahren wir nach Herdubreid und zm See Myvatn bevore wir nach Akuarery zurückkehren.​
